Hack’s Plumbing & Drain got authorization to replace existing leaking 100 gallon commercial water heater 270K BTUH with one new Bradford White 100 gallon commercial water heater 270K BTUH. New water heater will be connected to existing plumbing and reconfigured plumbing as necessary to make connections. New expansion tank and sediment trap will be installed as per code requirements. New water heater will be tested for leaks and proper function. Includes complete clean of work area. Water shut off notice will need to be given for the property to replace isolation ball valves to the water heater. The cold water line needs to be relocated to remove the old water heater and install the new water heater.
Scope of work:
1) Shut off power, gas and water service to broken water heater.
2) Drain down and disconnect broken water heater from plumbing.
3) Prepare plumbing connections.
4) Put into place new water heater in water heater room.
5) Reconfigure plumbing as necessary and connect new water heater to plumbing.
6) Install new sediment trap on gas supply line.
7) Install new expansion tank on cold water supply line to water heater.
8) Reinstall earthquake straps.
9) Reconnect recirculating line to water heater.
10) Restore water service to water heater and fill tank.
11) Restore gas and water service to water heater.
12) Test for leaks and proper function.
13) Complete clean up of work area.
Work was performed as stated above. Additional work performed. Had to install two new isolation ball valves to the water heater hot and cold isolation valves to the water heater. Had to shut off the water to multiple buildings to install isolation valves.
